PROCESS MOST PROFILE TYPES
The V600 can process I-Beams, H-Beams, Channels, Flat bar, Angle iron, T-bar, Square tubes and Rectangular tubes. Even profiles which have already been assembled can be further processed on the V600 - all without manual programming in the software, improving your ROI.

FLEXIBLE PROCESSING
The Voortman V600 is able to change up to 5 tools suitable for drilling, thread-tapping, countersinking and centerpoint marking. This amount of tools increases your flexibility and freedom in carrying out a diverse range of processes with the V600.

PROCESS MULTIPLE PARTS LINEARLY
The Voortman V600 can process multiple parts in a row. It is possible to place multiple parts at the table. This saves time, because when the drill is processing the second product, the operator has time to turn the first beam while the machine keeps processing. It is even possible to place multiple products behind each other, so that the machine makes multiple identical products in one operation. During training Voortman trainers will teach you a number of valuable benefits.

Productivity

Moveable cabin

The V600 drilling machine is fitted with a movable drilling cabin. Positioned completely free from the floor, the housing will not be disturbed by any chips lying on the ground. The drilling cabin moves along a toothed gear rack with two frequency driven wheels, which determine the cabin’s position. The frequency controlled drive and electrical operated brakes ensure smooth movement of the cabinet, for minimal vibrations. The safety measures of the V600 allow a high velocity of the cabin, making the V600 cabin suitable for long tables.

Productivity

Process multiple parts linearly

The Voortman V600 can process multiple parts in a row for increased productivity. This saves time because the operator has time to turn the first beam while the drill begins processing the second product for uninterrupted processing. In addition to lining up products on the table, you can also place them next to each other to make identical products. This is useful for stair stringers or other products that need to be identical or symmetrical.

Automation

Automatic tool changing

An automatic tool changer with 5 tool stations is included with the machine, increasing productivity as the machine doesn’t have to wait for the operator to change tools. Tool lengths are laser measured when placed in the tool changer to ensure free, uninterrupted movement and a fast material approach speed, eliminating touch sensing. You have access to preference settings like choosing to first drill all holes of a similar diameter or to continuously change tools. Make changes easily during production to optimize your output!

Versatility

Fits in any workshop

The V600 drilling system table is available in multiple lengths so it can be customized to your requirements and fit in any workshop. The machine cabin moves next to the product, reducing the footprint by 50% compared to a machine with cross transports and roller conveyors.

High quality

Full profile measurement reduces mistakes

A laser measures the front side and profile automatically to improve processing accuracy. The machine can automatically finish all products without interruptions or manual operations, saving a significant amount of time. No need to position profiles in an exact position since the V600 will find the material and check if the correct profile is loaded on the table automatically.

High quality

Vibrations eliminated for accurate processing and extended tool life

Hydraulic clamps prevent profiles from moving during drilling and eliminate vibrations resulting in more accurate drilling and longer tool life. The hydraulic clamp can be combined with easy-to-use magnetic clamps to secure products from multiple sides. You can choose how you attach the clamps so you can place any object on the V600 table.

User-friendly

DSTV import and power connections

The Voortman V600 has several USB ports to import DSTV files. This makes it easy to prepare batches and products at the office or copy them directly from ERP/MRP systems. Voortman uses a power rail to the cabin. The power rail is more robust and requires less maintenance then a cable tray.

User-friendly

On board compressor eliminates need for central air connector

An air compressor is installed inside the drilling cabin. The air compressor supplies air for cooling and tool changing. The big advantage of this on-board air compressor is that it eliminates the need of a central air connection. For the V600 you only need a power supply.

User-friendly

Safe processing with safety bumpers & emergency stop

A foam safety bumper is installed on the front and back of the cabin. In case of contact the machine is switched off automatically. An emergency stop is installed at the control panel of the cabin and on the hydraulic clamping unit at the side of the drilling head. This makes the V600 accessible, yet completely safe.

Versatility

Processing flexibility

The Voortman V600 can automatically change up to 5 tools for drilling, thread-tapping, countersinking, and/or centerpoint marking. Loading multiple tools increases your flexibility and capability to carry out a diverse range of processes with the V600.

Process most profile types

The V600 can process I-Beams, H-Beams, Channels, Flat bar, Angle iron, T-bar, Square tubes, and Rectangular tubes. Even profiles with have already been assembled can be further processed on the V600 – all without manual programming in the software, saving time and additional cost.

Features
and processes

Fast carbide drilling

The drilling unit on this machine is suitable for fast carbide drilling, of which one main advantage is the high drilling speed that can be reached. Voortman uses different type of drilling units for each machine, depending on the intended functionality. All drilling units are capable of carbide drilling with solid carbide drills or carbide-tipped drills. The drilling units move to the material in an optimized path with minimum tolerances at the highest possible speed. This makes the total drilling process the fastest in the market.

Drilling, tapping, sinking

The main advantage of drilling is processing high quality holes in a diverse range of hole diameters and material thicknesses. To create bolted connections and to remove sharp edges of a drilled hole, thread-tapping and countersinking can be performed in one single process cycle. With automatic tool changing of carbide (tipped) drills, solid carbide drills, HSS drills, thread-taps, countersink and marking tools, manual labor is reduced and further processing simplified.

Centerpoint marking

Centerpoint marking provides you guidance during further processing like welding. It is the easiest and fastest way to mark your product and saves you time and costs. Centerpoints can also be used to mark where operations should be executed which are beyond the machine's limitations. The centerpoint marking process creates very small drilled dots, executed by the drilling unit on this machine.
